Autumn at the Katy Tunnel
Original painting: 24x18, acrylic on canvas
The MKT Tunnel (Katy Tunnel) is a 243-foot-long train tunnel that was built around 1893 in the historic town of Rocheport. It is part of the 225-mile Katy Trail State Park, a biking and hiking trail that stretches across much of the state of Missouri. Its blackened ceiling is a reminder of the many trains that passed through the tunnel over the years. Today, bikers and walkers pass through the tunnel (the only tunnel on the Katy Trail) - a scenic highlight of the trail for many.
Prints available on Premium Archival Matte or Canvas Paper.
